Sneak a peek at AoC's test server patch notes
The patch notes also feature another round of class tweaks, notably some buffs for Dark Templars and damage changes for Priests of Mitra. Confusingly, Bear Shamans will be getting improved Wreck Armor combo visuals and sounds -- however, this is a Barbarian combo, so is this change actually for Barbs or did they mean the BS combo Crush Armor? Other really good things: lower level mobs will knock you off your mount a lot less (although higher mobs will do it more) and attackers at your sides will have half the chance of knocking you off -- attackers from the front will never knock you off. Finally, player cities will be able to get their Trader NPC at last.

One Shots: I ain't got no-body
Do you have some screenshots showing off strange glitches, bugs, or other visual quirks from your favorite game? Perhaps you just spotted a re-used texture hanging out where it shouldn't be? We want your screenshots of them, if so! Send them to us here at oneshots AT massively.com for inclusion in the upcoming pile of glitchy goodness!

Age of Conan newsletter previews new PvP, dungeons, and dancing!
Funcom is completely revamping Age of Conan's PvP. They're adding PvP-specific leveling, consequences in the form of the 'fugitive system', and a number of tweaks and changes to the art of player on player war. A number of quests past level 20 are getting voice over elements added in. The website lists every one they're working on, and in total this forms a specific storyline the developers want you to be sure to follow. A better interface for chat and guild management will soon be available. The Pyramid of the Ancients and Treasury of the Ancients in Khopshef Province will be getting bottom-to-top revamps.

Age of Conan: mostly armless
Tonight in Age of Conan, someone jumped me while i was doing something else, then proceeded to perform a fatality on me. It was one I hadn't seen before, and it involved him chopping off my arms, then chopping off my head. Which is cool and all, but after I respawned, I didn't have any arms. It was a purely visual bug - I could still fight and quest and whatnot. Still, I spent the next hour trying to find out which animations looked goofiest with stubs cut off at the elbow (dancing is good, stealth is better). Unfortunately, it was only an error on my screen, which meant that me screaming 'It's only a flesh wound!' in town probably made little sense to those who passed by. AoC grinds out the fixes
Also true to emerging tradition, the players are compiling their own set of unofficial patch notes, one in the EU and one in the US, collating everything they've found that wasn't documented. Good news for all players: it looks like the promised alteration of outdoor bosses' loot tables has made it in, along with an overall increase in blue loot drops. The not so good news is an apparent nerf to the Bear Shaman's Untamed Regeneration feat. According to the unofficial player-created patch notes, 'The stamina, mana and health regeneration on the ability "Untamed Regeneration" has been reduced by approximately 40%. Additional damage received has been increased from 10% to 15%.' Nerf or bug? We're waiting to find out.

A postmortem on Age of Conan's launch
MMORPG.com's Mathew Reuther offers up a retrospective on the recent launch of Funcom's Age of Conan. We've obviously been following the game's ups and downs here on the site, but it's interesting to see the whole sordid tale laid out in one fell swoop. Reuther actually starts his tale back in 2001, with a brief look back at why Anarchy Online's launch was so very bad. He then walks us through the different steps - the early start that almost wasn't, launch day itself, and the some of the more lurid post-launch issues.
